The hat show in August 2010 was a chance to play show and tell with dozens of hats and learn some stories about hats from the wonderful attendees.
Hat shows with women who wore, and sometimes still wear hats can brighten up a day, a month, and even a year. 2010 was a great year for hat shows.
Preparing for the hat show means making some hats. Ok, my idea of making a hat is not a true milliner’s creation. I do not block my hats, but work with ones that already exist. It is best said I trim hats. That is what I did while on vacation in Baltimore.
To have enough to talk about one needs a wide variety of hats to use as examples, which means many tables of hats.
And a special thanks to those gals who helped with the show:
2011 is just starting and it is time to plan some more hat shows.
Happy 1st day of 2011!
